Limitations and notes

Ten eyes of seven patients developed ectasia. The source reported thin cornea, irregular anterior topography, Ectasia Risk Score above 3, percent tissue altered at least 40%, and residual stromal bed at most 300 μm among retrospectively identified factors; one ectatic eye had no identifiable risk factor. The source cautioned that incidence could be higher because some patients were lost to follow-up or might destabilize later.
