Inclusion
ICL implantations reported by the 95 surgeons who responded to the survey for the January 1998 through December 2006 study period.

Exclusion
Implantations performed by nonresponding surgeons were not represented.

Limitations and notes

Ninety-five of 234 surveyed surgeons responded (40%), representing 17,954 ICL implantations in 21 countries. Three surgeons reported one case each. The survey denominator does not have a standardized per-eye follow-up duration, and follow-up details were available for only two cases; the observation window is therefore stored without an invented postoperative day.

Missing fields are not interpreted as negative findings. Arm counts may not be additive in all study designs.
